The Output File is a special inspection report available in the GPSTab app. It contains your key Hours of Service (HOS) data and ELD usage details required for FMCSA inspections.
All ELD-enabled drivers can send this file directly from their app when requested by a DOT officer or inspector.
How to Send the Output File (Data Transfer to DOT)
Open the GPSTab app.
Tap the Menu (☰) in the top-left corner.
Select Inspection Module.
Tap Send Output File (3rd button).
Enter the Safety Official or Investigation Code provided by the officer.
Tap Send.
The system automatically transfers your data via a web service to the FMCSA database.
The file includes your logs for the past 8 days (today + 7 previous days), along with your driver profile, log graph, and status history.
Important:
The Output File can’t be viewed or downloaded by drivers - it’s only accessible to FMCSA officials.
