The Map & Tracking tools in GPSTab help your fleet monitor routes and provide updates on your location while you’re on duty.
Your company can see your location updates automatically every minute when you’re logged into the app and have a stable internet connection.
If you go Offline, it simply means your device lost internet connection or you logged out of the app; your last known location will still display in GPSTab.
You may also notice - in the GPSTab app, locations are displayed in FMCSA-compliant format - showing the distance and direction from the nearest city or town with a population of 5,000 or more, such as “3.9 mi N of Duncanville, TX.” This format follows federal ELD rules, so it may not always match your exact physical location, but it’s accurate for compliance and recordkeeping purposes.
Your location data is only used for safety, compliance, and dispatch visibility - never for personal monitoring.
