The Telematics feature in GPSTab provides real-time diagnostic data from your trucks, helping you monitor vehicle health and spot potential issues early.
It collects information directly from the truck’s engine computer (ECU) and shows fault codes when something needs attention.
While the Check Engine Light simply warns that there’s a problem, fault codes explain what’s causing it - such as an issue with emissions, sensors, or the drivetrain.
To access Telematics, go to Fleet → Trucks, then check the Telematics column.
A green icon means the truck is working normally, red indicates an active fault code or abnormal data, and grey means the unit hasn’t connected yet.
You can click the icon to view active fault codes and see what’s happening with the truck in detail.
If email notifications are enabled, you’ll also receive alerts when a new fault code appears.
This feature helps fleets reduce downtime, schedule maintenance faster, and stay proactive about vehicle health.
